Goodness, Graciela, what an adventure! I'm glad His Royal Purple Badness was good for you, and best of all, you got out of the parking lot easily. Suh-weet.
I'm pretty sure that of all the people on Vox, you are the most fun!

This post took two hours to write? It took two hours to read! j/k. :D

It's sounds like good times, nothing bad happened, you got to see who you wanted...and you ruled at SingStar!!!

glad you had an awesome time! my mom's just like your dad. they end up torturing themselves because they have such a soft heart for their grandkids! lol i LOVE prince! *squeal* my kids get all black in the summer, too... i mean, BLACK! hehe...
sounds like a BLAST... i really miss music festivals, so i get to live vicariously through you and LE. :)
it was so awesome...

even if you're NOT a prince fan, there's no way you can come out of one of his concerts and not become a prince fan. that man was seriously born to perform! :)

i had to edit my post to add that he played for almost TWO hours. i was in heaven. :)
that's weird, cuz i think YOU'RE fun :D
LOL. i didn't realize the post ended up being so.damn.long. hehe. i hope you just skimmed it. hehe.

we had a great time. :) i'm still a tad tired, but doing much better. :)
soooo much fun. :) i had a blast! :)

my dad is retarded. i TOLD him to leave her alone so she could sleep. but he insisted on talking all loud HOPING that she'd wake up. *grunt* grandparents... hehe.

prince was SO awesome. for being such a little guy, he sure has some stage presence.

steve says he's got the napoleon syndrome. that's prolly true. hehe.
at the core music fests may all be pretty similar, but each one has its own distinct flavor, depending on where it is... i love that...

bumbershoot feels totally different from coachella, which feels totally different from creamfields, which feels totally different from voodoofest.

i'm still thinking about hitting up austin.... maybe one day i'll make it out to bonnarroo. although they usually don't have a lineup i'm that interested in... or at least they don't have anyone that i wouldn't be able to see here... or that i've seen already... part of the reason i wanna go to austin is because my friend cece is going and i haven't seen her since mia was born!

we'll see, though... :)

i love music fests, too, if you couldn't tell. hehe.
i told rodger that i could have left after Portishead. Prince's set was the dopest thing i've seen ever, but Portishead was on a whole different level. when dude started scratching on that track, i just heard rodger say, "oh my god!!" i loved the new stuff...it sounded so much better live.

honestly, Prince was losing me with his jazz-y type stuff, and i was just dead tired by then. i was going crazy during Portishead. i can't say which was better because they're sooo different.

we were too lazy to do the water bottle exchange. we thought about it, but we never did. hehe.

anyways i was happy that we got to meet up with you guys. after a 2 year hiatus, that's what you call a triumphant return. :)
portishead sounded SO awesome... i am still thinking about them...

they really were two totally different concerts. both in my top 10 concerts EVAH. for sure.

free water is the best. hehehe. :D

i was glad to see you guys, too! even if it was just for a short bit... i figured it would be too hard to find you again in the evening when it was all dark...

<3 your dad.. hehe..

ooo.. portishead... you lucky lady.. =)

gah.. i want to go so bad.. =S justin's friends asked us if we want to go next year.. sooo.. we might...(please baby jesus) be are going next year.. woot!! =D

yeah. he's cute and silly. hehehe.

portishead was ah-maz-ing... really.

it'll probably be hotter than voodoo fest. will you survive? hehe... at least it won't be humid...
oh yeah, both performances are easily in my top 10. rodger wasn't really a fan of portishead's new album. after their set, i asked him, "now do you get it?" he said, "duh! yeah!" hehe.

i had forgotten how dark it was at night. i stepped on so many people who were sitting down. we tied little glow sticks on our shoes so people wouldn't step on us. it worked. :D
sometimes you have to see bands live in order to like 'em more! hehe... and sometimes it works the opposite way. i hate that... i hate when i like a band and then i see them live and they suck.

man, if they're sitting down, they really should keep their fingers closer to their bodies, you know what i mean? idiots. heh.

glowsticks on the feet! genius! :)

Sounds like a lot of fun, and so smart that you went at night....seriously, I don't have the stamina anymore to be out in THAT heat during the day for longer than 15 minutes.

Little Ham works my parents and she ends up going to bed super late when they're in charge too. She's a mini-emotional-manipulator... ;)
it was so much fun :) we totally just hung out. it was still hot when we got there around 5ish, but it's not like we were sweating all.damn.day. ya know? hehe.

they learn SO young, don't they?! omg. they already know how to get what they want! sheesh.
[this is good]
m.i.a. portishead. prince. sheila E?! i'm jealous. *rolls eyes*
Wow! That sounds sooo awesome! $90 doesn't seem too bad to me. We pay $130 for tix to The Big Day Out in Australia.
it was awesome. :D
$90 is pretty darn reasonable, right???

maybe one day i'll get to go to the big day out! i know i would love it :D
Of course you would!
i would love to see prince in person. i love a man who can rile up a crowd of folks. hehe. what a great idea to kick back and just show up whenever. although didn't you feel even a little bit like you were missing something? at all? that's what happens when I say i'll just get there when i get there. heh. steve is funny. too bad they didn't sell prince watches geared to prince time.

awww, you're so in love with your daughter. :) she's adorable and i think it's hilarious that she has a tan so early in the season! :)
i have such a lil mexican girl. tee hee! :D she is going to get super dark this summer...

he is AWESOMMMMME. you know, i didn't feel like i was missing out at all. as long as i didn't miss any of portishead and prince, i felt like it was okay. i mean, we've been to coachella before so it's not like we needed to experience anything else about it. if we did, great, if not, no big deal... and we weren't trying to discover any new bands or anything... we just wanted to hang out, enjoy each other's company (or i wanted to enjoy steve's. haha!), look around, check out some stuff if time permitted... and see portishead and prince. heh.

steve can always make me laugh :D even when i'm getting freaked out cuz i'm getting claustrophobic. :) i love that about him :)
